Ian and Emma set up Cotswold Trail Events Ltd as a Partnership business on the back of both working full time. This was to ensure that the Cotswold Way 102 and Broadway Marathon & Half Marathon continued to be on the race calendar.
Ian is an Ultra runner, Emma is the organiser, so a perfect match for organising such events!
We collect data from you when you register for an event, volunteer for an event, send us e-mails, join our mailing list, or navigate through the website.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Acts 1998, GDPR, and the Data Protection Bill 2017, the data controller is Cotswold Trail Events.

Participant Cancellation
If you cancel your entry 6 weeks before the race date you will be eligible for a refund of 60% of the fee received by us for the entry.
If you cancel your entry after 6 weeks before the race date, whether for injuries sustained, personal accidents or illness, we sympathise, however, no refund will be given as we have already committed to outgoing payments for the race to go ahead. We will have incurred admin costs and 40% will be withheld to cover costs which you agree to upon signing up to the event.
Deferrals / Transfers
We do not do transfers or deferrals as these create additional admin and costs close to the race when we are at our busiest preparing for the event.
Cancellation by Cotswold Trail Events Ltd
If we need to cancel the event for any reason within our control then you will receive a 100% refund of your ticket price.
If we need to cancel the event for circumstance outside our control, such as illness, injury, weather, pandemics, government advice, issues that make it unsafe or impossible to go head, we will transfer your ticket to a new date or refund 60% of the fee received by us for the entry immediately. We will have incurred admin costs and 40% will be withheld to cover costs which you agree to upon signing up to the event.
